AIDS Walk

The AIDS walk for life is a coast-to-coast most important fundraising and awareness event Initiated by the Canadian AIDS Society that includes 124 Canadians cities and more than half million Canadians. The AIDS walk began in 1986 in Vancouver then followed a decade later by many cities who now organize their own walk in partnership with local businesses and community health organizations in order to raise funds to support their programs and services.

The Madeleine-Sanam Foundation has been part of the AIDS Walk since 2003 and will participate again on September 12, 2010 at the City Hall to raise mostly awareness among African-Canadian and Caribbean communities living in Edmonton.

Once again you and your guest are welcome to walk under the Madeleine-Sanam Foundation colour. This is your opportunity to put your beliefs into action. There won’t be pledges to collect for the Madeleine-Sanam Foundation members and friends only a walk registration form that you could fill out on line and T-shirt to be purchased from our office. Donations are welcome for our on going programs however not a requirement to join us for walk.

Please, walk or volunteer to help with this event succeed. Helpers are needed to phone mobilise the membership, and a few other duties.
