PovertyIncome is the more important determinant in health of populations. Social inequalities between men and women as well as their social status and their low income make them more vulnerable to HIV. A great number of women exchange sexual favours for money to ensure the survival of their families. According the United Nations, the worldwide women's health crisis is due in part to their inability to force their partners to wear condoms. We estimate to 3000 women the number of those who got infected by the virus each day around the world. Moreover, women are more exposed to sexual violence. At the ninth International AIDS conference, held in Bangkok, the numbers spoke for themselves: 25 million people are HIV positive on the African continent; 13 women for every 10 men are HIV positive; the group which is the most at risk is young girls aged between 15 to 24 years because they are three times more likely to be exposed than men. Delegates present to this conference came to the following conclusion: The first cause of HIV/AIDS propagation in the world is the masculine cheating and poverty. The Madeleine Sanam foundation believes that the income is a primary determinant in health; as a result, women support in the economic sector is crucial to the fight against HIV/AIDS. It has been demonstrated that the economic independence of women increases their productivity and, let them achieve a better life style. This economic independence contributes to:
