Dr. Adenike YesufuMember of the BoardBiography Dr. Adenike Yesufu is an associate teacher for the sociology department at Concordia University and at Grant MacEwan Community College. She worked as an Education and cultural diversity trainer for the Catholic Social Services. As a consultant, Adenike also worked with families and youth. She also coordinated parent and youth groups participating in the Boys and Girls Club and helped them in finding solutions to teenagers’ problems. Adenike was the director of the Forum for the Advancement of Women, a non profit organization supporting women’s autonomy in the fields of sexual health, education, politics, economics, etc. She also contributed to various United Nations programs Nations such as UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNIFEM. She also organized trainings in entrepreneurship for the International Labour Organization. The fields that attract her the most are equality between sexes, religion, culture, peace, family and cultural diversity issues. Adenike obtained a PhD in International and Intercultural Education at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and her certificate as a Consultant for women at Athabasca University. She possesses a B.A and a Master degree in Education and Religion Studies. |
