Chantal Londji Dang

Chantal was born in Gabon in Central Africa. She arrived in Canada in 1984 to continue her studies and achieve her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. During her studies in Quebec, she noticed the lack of Black people in media and decided to do something. In 1987, she wrote in the Laval University newspaper and she specialized in covering events which dealt with African students as well as those which emanated from the local, national and international diasporas on campus. In 1988, she hosted an African variety show on CKRL 89.1 FM in Quebec City. After obtaining her B.A. degree at Laval University in 1989, Chantal took part in a training course on behalf of Radio-Quebec in Montreal for the Opération Nouveau Visage, a national contest created to help integrate the cultural communities in the media.Read More..
